Blog tour, days 14 and 16 – the benefit of 3 star reviews.
Getting reviews is a great way to get different perspectives on your book. What I like about these two is that although Lethal Inheritance isn’t quite their cup of tea – I always did say that it was different – both reviewers appreciate the quality. For me that’s the mark of a professional reviewer. Despite only 3 stars on Amazon, some of the things they say will help certain readers to say ‘yes’ to a purchase. Interestingly enough, none of what they say surprises me. I always knew this book wasn’t for everyone and clearly those big publishers that rejected my agent’s submission knew that too. Even so, there are plenty of people out there that will love everything that is different and ‘spiritual’ about it. I just have to find my readers. If you have friends that you think might enjoy Lethal Inheritance, please let them know about it. Day 14…

The answers to questions I never thought to ask.
Kristin from The Cozy Reading Corner posted an interview with me today, and she asked some really good questions about the concepts behind Lethal Inheritance. Pop along and have a look. You even get to see the strangest thing that sits on my desk. It’s really cute and spaced out looking. Now you have to go and have a look just to solve the mystery of what is it? I’m pretty sure you’ll enjoy it. Here’s the link. http://the-crc.blogspot.com.au/2012/10/lethal-inheritance-by-tahlia-newland.html?spref=tw
Indie-cision – the shooting of a personal performative documentary
I had a film crew at my house on Saturday and Sunday. They were from the University of Technology in Sydney. As part of her degree in Communications, media arts and production, my daughter had to put in a submission for a documentary. She made one up about the publishing industry and it was one of the ones chosen to be made. I got to do some clowning, which I haven’t done for quite a while now. It looks like it’s going to be a rather amusing little doco, which, of course, I will share with you when it’s completed. In the meantime, here are some photos from the shoot. if you click on one of the photos it will come up full size, and you’ll be able to scroll through them all at that size.
