I’m delighted to share that Book 2 in the Psychemagination Series, Healing the Inner Child, will be released in late February. At the same time, I’m deep in the process of completing Book 3, Unmasking the Essential Self.
I’m also currently in an ADHD‑fuelled hyperfocus on Jungian psychology—particularly the practice of active imagination. This immersion has made me realise just how much the Psychemagination books themselves are living examples of active imagination in practice. Each book is both a mythic journey and a self‑help guide, showing how imagination, art, and symbol can lead us into profound healing.
Why Start With Into the Underworld?
Before Healing the Inner Child arrives, I encourage you to read Book 1: Into the Underworld – A Neurodivergent Journey through Myth, Art, and Psychology to Discover Your Authentic Self. This first book lays the foundation for the series, inviting you into the depths of psyche and imagination.
Is This Your Journey?
This book is your companion if you:
- Identify as neurodivergent and seek approaches that honour how your mind actually works, not how it “should” work
- Feel drawn to depth psychology and want to explore Jungian concepts through direct experience rather than academic study
- Use creativity for healing and recognise that art, imagination, and symbol speak truths that logic cannot reach
- Sense something deeper calling beneath the surface of conventional self‑help and are ready to meet your shadow, your myths, and your authentic self
- Work as a therapist or guide and want fresh approaches for supporting clients through transformative inner work
This is not a quick‑fix guide. It’s an invitation to descend, explore, integrate, and emerge transformed.
What Readers Are Saying
“Tahlia Newland’s Psychemagination – Into the Underworld is a combination of words and pictures as she explores her neurodivergence. While the journey she describes in this fantastic collection of profound words and inspirational art is intensely personal for her, it’s also a window into the mind and psyche of us all—especially those of us who are involved in creative endeavors.
With a collection of AI‑generated art and brief, but penetrating descriptions, the author opens doors to the underworld of minds that are not wired like those of normal people, answering the questions we’ve probably all asked ourselves at some point in our lives.
This is an amazing book. I found myself lingering over some of the images, gazing in wonder at how AI was able to translate the author’s words into such provocative pictures. At other times, I read and re‑read the words, looking beyond the surface meanings for the deeper context.
I highly recommend Psychemagination. I don’t think it’s hyperbole to say that it will change your life.”

Right now, you’ll find an article on how I’m working with the merging of Vajrayana (esoteric Buddhist) meditation and active imagination—allowing a synthesis of the two approaches to emerge from my unconscious mind.
