Blue Dragons Revealed | A World Beyond Reality

Blue Dragons Revealed | A World Beyond Reality
April 30, 2026 by Tahlia Newland

Fantasy worlds. My imaginative mind has always created them. From the time I was very young, I created imaginary worlds and lived in them every day after my return home from school. (Interesting note: Carl Jung did too. He talks about it in his autobiography.) That imagination created visual theatre performances – my living for 20 years – came up with the Diamond Peak Fantasy Series, and the Ella Smith Series – presently comprising World Within Worlds and The Locksmith’s Secret – and now, with the assistance of AI, it’s creating more visual theatre but in video form.

What I love about AI art is the ability to make those worlds come to life, and my blue dragon realm, filled with lizard people, flying horses and, of course, blue dragons, is one of those worlds. I first created it back when AI video generation was pretty poor, so I thought I’d redo the same concept, only better, and I’m very happy with how it turned out. The first version was a square format, and I much prefer the extra real estate of the widescreen.

I made a song telling the story in the video but decided not to use the song and go with an instrumental track instead. You can, however, enjoy The Ballad of the Blue Dragons on my Bandcamp. (Lyrics below)

I hope you enjoy it. Let me know what you think; I love to hear from my readers.

The Ballad of The Blue Dragon Realm

[Verse 1]
I stepped through a doorway of wonder,
Where a sky made of sapphire shone bright.
Strangers stood waiting before me,
Their shadows all carved out of light.
Though their forms were unknown to my senses,
Their kindness was easy to see—
For love is a language unspoken,
And it welcomed a wanderer like me.

[Verse 2]
They lived with a grace I could witness,
A circle of family, a choir, .
Their stories were woven in gestures,
Their songs carried ancient desire.
And I saw in the eyes of their children
A future that lifted them high—
A destiny shaped by their lineage,
A birthright of wind and of sky.

Verse 3
They carried me far through their homeland,
To shores where the blue waters gleamed.
And though every face was unfamiliar,
Their warmth was far more than I dreamed.
For love is a thread that unravels
The fear of the things we don’t know—
And I felt myself soften and open
To the depth of their spirit’s flow.

Verse 4
They led me to heights of their mountains,
Where elders in radiance shone.
They looked through the veil of my being,
And saw me as one of their own.
A choice lay before me in silence,
A path only courage could take—
To join in a rite of their people,
And step into all I could wake.

Bridge
No fear in the face of their mystery,
No doubt in the call of the air—
For wisdom can rise from the unknown,
When we meet it with reverent care.

Final Verse
So I entered their sacred ceremony,
And the world seemed to open and sing.
What I gained was beyond any telling—
A freedom no words yet can bring.
For the gift of another’s tradition
Is a treasure no traveller can claim,
But offered with honour and blessing,
It changes your soul just the same.

[Outro]
Every culture is shaped by its heartbeat,
Every people by all that they feel.
And when we are welcomed with honour,
We learn what is important to know—
That respect is the key to all kingdoms,
And wonder is where bridges grow.
