The Loving Light Meditation Song: Surreal Music & Imagery

The Loving Light Meditation Song: Surreal Music & Imagery
October 16, 2025 by Tahlia Newland

I’m pleased to share the Loving Light Meditation Song—a surreal, peaceful journey into awareness through music and imagery. This song is based on my Loving Light guided meditation, and it carries the same healing intention: to help you feel loved, energised, and deeply connected to your inner light.

The visuals are dreamlike and spacious, and the lyrics guide you through a three-part imaginative meditation. It’s part of my YouTube Music and Imagery for Meditation playlist, and it’s a beautiful way to begin or end your day. I hope it brings you the same sense of calm and clarity it brought me while creating it.

The imagery in the video will be familiar to anyone familiar with some of the symbolism used as analogies for teachings in the vajrayana tradition – eagles flying, diamonds, mandalas, lotus-flowers opening, dakinis dancing in the sky, even mirrors – and I’ll do a video at some point in which I talk about their meaning, but the deeper teachings around these symbols, will have to be for paid Substack subscribers only because of the time it will take to do the writing. It’s not a topic that can be rushed. There’s a lot to unpack in those symbols.

I wrote the words to the song from the guided Loving Light practice (which you can download by clicking here), then I sang the song into the Suno AI music generator and did a cover of my singing, which turned my voice into something worth listening to, so the song is a guided meditation practice with visuals that hopefully will evoke a calm clear mind.

Give it a go. You can just watch and listen to the video, making the sound and imagery the focus of your meditation, and if you mind wanders off somewhere else, then bring it gently back to focusing on the sound and imagery. Or you can listen to the words and follow their instructions. Try it both ways, and let me know in the comments if it has any effect on your mind.

If you want a more traditional guided practice of the Loving Light practice, it’s here.
