A couple of weeks ago, I awoke with the first line of a poem in my mind – The land of the tarot card readers is vast and wide. I sat down and wrote the whole thing, a pop-up poem a friend called it. It flowed like water out of my mind with only a few lines needing extra time taken to rhyme. Then I put it to music, turned it into a song. I didn’t like what the AI generator came up with, so I sang it myself and recorded it into the AI program (Suno). It turned it into a beautifully sung, fully orchestrated piece of music., and of course, I had to turn it into a music video.
I never thought I could be a song writer, but it’s my song as I sung it, just way better than I could ever sing it. AI may destroy humanity, but it also allows some of us to move into new areas of creativity. Sigh.
What major acarna tarot card characters can you see in it?
Let me know what you think of this one. If you like it, give it the old thumbs up and a comment on YouTube – oh, and share it of course.
[verse 1]
The land of the Tarot readers is vast and wide,
A place in the psyche where forgotten dreams hide,
Where symbols shine, speaking their light,
Illuminating the dark with the greatest insight
[verse 2]
There I dance with archetypes, both great and small,
Mingling our breath at the grandest of balls.
I sit at tables, playing card games of chance
With the Tarot card readers who love to dance.
[verse 3]
I wander this realm in the depths of my mind
Seeking knowledge and wisdom and whatever I find.
The archetypes emerge when they’re ready to speak
And convey their insights to the wanderers who seek.
The sage, the star, the magician, the fool
Or the soul itself, the crowning jewel.
[verse 4]
We cannot command them, can’t give them their words;
They’ll repeat what we need until they’ve been heard.
They’ll help us unravel our hidden flaws,
The shadows who hide behind psychic doors.
[verse 5]
The parts of ourselves that we repressed or ignored,
The ones we must know if we are to move forward.
Once embraced and accepted as parts of ourself,
We will become whole, have full psychic health.
[verse 6]
The point of our life is this journey to know
our authentic self; in its fullness we grow.
The Tarot card readers know one of the tools,
And many other spiritual guidance jewels.
[verse7]
Meditation to calm, to focus, to reveal
Our deepest spirit, beyond what we feel.
Imagination to uncover the parts we must heal,
to release us from the drivers of unconscious zeal
[verse 1 refrain]
The land of the Tarot readers is vast and wide,
A place in the psyche where forgotten dreams hide,
Where symbols shine, speaking their light,
Illuminating the dark with the greatest insight
