The Magan Mask of Power – it’s real!

March 11, 2015 by Tahlia Newland

The Magan Mask of Power – it’s real!

The Magan Mask of Power appears in my book Stalking Shadows, book two of the Diamond Peak Series (a YA fantasy).  The heroine of the story must wear it to prove to a Magan (Magicians) lord that she has the power to defeat the master demon. Those who wear the mask without that kind of personal power go insane. I made the base of the mask around the time I wrote the book back in 2013, but I only finished it recently. Would you be able to wear the Magan Mask of Power? It’s designed so you can. This is it. There will never be another one like it, and it's only USD $152.57 or AUD $199  (craftspeople work for a pittance, but I meditate while I do it, so that gives it an ulterior purpose.) Buy Now I've also added a lovely new shell plaque to my masks for sale  if you'd like one of my creations for less than $20. … [Read more...]

A 5 star Diamond Peak series review

December 3, 2014 by Tahlia Newland

The following  full Diamond Peak series review comes from http://nayspinkbookshelf.blogspot.com.au/2014/12/blog-tour-diamond-peak-series-by-tahlia.html Lethal Inheritance Review This is my first book by Tahlia Newland and I must say this was absolutely stunning! From beginning to end I was hooked on the world, the characters and the action. Not to mention the plot twists and turns that take place. Ariel is a typical teen living with her mom until she is introduced to demons. They break and enter AND kidnap her mother -- that alone blew my mind! It's the opener for so much action and adventure for Ariel. Ariel is stunned at first but with the help of Maya, Nick and Walnut she begins to learn her true self and becomes a kick ass character. This totally rocked my socks more than I expected it to and I highly suggest if you're looking for a YA Urban Fantasy to pick this beauty up! Purchase: Kindle US | Kindle UK | Kobo | iTunes | B&N | Sony Stalking Shadows Review The second book … [Read more...]

New YA fantasy book reviews of Lethal Inheritance

November 13, 2014 by Tahlia Newland

Don't get angry or the demons will get you!, December 11, 2013 By S. Roddom "sally from oz" This review is from: Lethal Inheritance (Diamond Peak Book 1) (Kindle Edition) LETHAL INHERITANCE is the first in the YA fantasy Diamond peak series. I don’t know if author Tahlia Newland had a particular peak in her mind as she wrote this series – but I spent the whole book with Mt Cook in my mind. I hasten to add that Mt Cook doesn’t have demons living in it, whispering reeds, shifting stones and a group of different zones to lure you in and make you forget the real world. At least I hope it doesn’t. Ariel and her mother Nadima live alone, her father died when she was small. Life seemed pretty normal for the teen, going to school, gossiping with friends and avoiding doing her homework. But that all changes one night when Ariel wakes up to hear her mother screaming for Ariel to hide and Ariel sees her being dragged away by a huge monster. The monster comes after Ariel but a bright light … [Read more...]

Diamond Peak Series Book Tour: An awesome review of Stalking Shadows.

December 17, 2013 by Tahlia Newland

Here's a review of Stalking Shadows that really made my heart sing. This is the best reward for an author; readers who love what you write. Not everyone does, but those that do make the struggle worth while. Kayla says, among other things: 'Wow! I have to say that although I really, really enjoyed reading Lethal Inheritance, book one in this series, I think I enjoyed the sequel even more. That isn’t something that really happens for me that often and it only makes me wonder what more could come in the rest of the series.' Pop over and see Kayla's wonderful book blog and read the rest of the series. http://caughtbetweenthepages.wordpress.com/2013/12/07/blog-tour-stalking-shadows-by-tahlia-newland/ Don't forget the Special Series  Seal If you buy book one, Lethal Inheritance, and send the receipt to tahlia.newland@yahoo.com before the 15th of December, I will send you book 2, Stalking Shadows, for free and enter you in a draw to win the rest of the series. You can also pick up  two … [Read more...]
