My new Burmese kittens have arrived, and as expected, they've taken over our hearts and our house. Mani (pronounced Marni) is the lilac, and Loki (pronounced Lowki) is the blue. Thanks to Jacob Brookfield for most of these photos. I'll share some more soon, and there will be videos of the little guys in action. This first shot was just after they'd arrived and sniffed everything in the bathroom and porch. We had the door shut to the rest of the house until they got comfortable. It didn't take them long. . REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE, - that was Mani on my keyboard. Oh, how I've missed that. Whoops, tail on the keyboard now. I don't know why they have to sit where the mouse goes! Cute Cat Column: Hot kitty
Phew. Hot weather this week. Or was it last week? Or yesterday? What does it matter? Well, how would you feel with a permanent fur coat? Luckily I have awesome survival skills. Stretch out as flat as you can, as close to the ground as possible to increase surface area for maximum air cooling. And take a good long nap. This whirly thing works too.
