While I've been working hard getting the new Awesome Indies Book website set up, the Awesome Allshorts anthology published and finishing my new book, Worlds Within Worlds, the Diamond Peak Series has started a tour with Girls Heart Book Tours. There's the usual interviews, excerpts and dream cast type posts, and the occasional review. I'll let you know about the reviews, the good and the bad and will give you excepts. Nov 1: http://lissalynnsreviews.blogspot.com.au/2014/11/ghbt-review-lethal-inheritance-by.html I have to say I was very impressed by this book. I have found it difficult to get myself enamored in a fantasy novel for a while now. So I was very happy to find Newland's writing style just got my attention from the very first page. Ariel's story is new and different and I enjoyed going on this journey with her. I cannot wait to read book 2 in The Diamond Peak Series and I would recommend to anyone--YA readers or above. Blew my mind: another blog tour stop, another rave review
I recently wrote a review about a book that blew me away and the author contacted me and said how wonderful it was that I 'got it'. That's how I feel about the latest review of Demon's Grip. Thanks, Stacy. Stacy from Book Broads says,' I just got done reading this book and it blew my mind.' That's a pretty good opener! She goes on to show that she appreciated the thoughtful contemplative nature of this book. Pop on over and have a read. http://bookbroads.blogspot.com.au/?zx=16acde509256d7fa … [Read more...]
A huge jump towards awesomeness: another review of Demon’s Grip.
Another review of Demon's Grip has appeared and this reviewer agrees with the first two reviewers who think that it's a big improvement on the first two books. Perhaps it's because for this one, I decided that I didn't care what anyone thought. It's a fairly comprehensive review that gives you a good idea of what's in the book and it includes a few quotes. Please pop over and share what you find. http://ruthannereid.com/book-review/book-review-demons-grip-by-tahlia-newland/ … [Read more...]

Another 5 star review for Stalking Shadows: once again, a well-driven, well-plotted voyage through well-drawn, well-imagined worlds
Evie Woolmore wrote a review of Stalking Shadows in which she says (among other things) "once again, a well-driven, well-plotted voyage through well-drawn, well-imagined worlds." She also notes the importance of Nick's POV in the this installment of the series. "Often YA fiction sees things from only the girl’s point of view, so this is a welcome addition to the novel." Her review gives an insight into the issues dealt with in the novel. Follow the link to read the full review http://allonymbooks.wordpress.com/2013/05/15/indie-book-reviews-4/ … [Read more...]
